"Rolls Rice" in Masan has really good kimbap and sushi. A couple of them speak English, they are really nice there. It's a tiny place in the center of Masan.

Jinju Seong (castle) Buffet is great value and has lovely views over the river.
It's right on the castle-end of Jinju bridge, on the third floor of the first building on the left going into town (semi-traditional roof on the top). There's a big fish tank outside the building, so you can't miss it.
It's good for Korean, Chinese and Japanese food on a budget. Basically you can stay as long as you want for W10 000.
Although it's not the same quality as the famed Dong Bang Hotel Buffet (W25 000) - just down the river - it's still a decent place to go - especially with a group.
It also has a function room for group events.
Cheers

AUH S. Sushi. Go three bus stops past the E-mart. Go on the other side of the Jinju Bookshop, and then walk two blocks and you will see it. Best to go with a large group of people. I think I accidentally ordered for two though.

First of all, many so called "Sushi" restaurants are actually Japanese, as "Sushi" comes from Japan. Many of these roll restaurants are also Japanese. If you want to have Korean style raw fish, you should go to a "hwe" restaurant. Generally it involves wrapping raw fish in a leaf, "Samgyupsal style" and eating it with Korean style fish sauce.
Now down to the nitty gritty. Many who live in Gajwa dong would complain about a lack of good food there. I would recomend for these people to go to the ¹ä½ºÅä¶û. You can get nice kimchi/dwen jang chigi there for 3500. The real jewel of the place is that each patron recieves a large bowl of rice with a fried egg, and a table generally recives about 11 side dishes, even if you go by yourself.
If you are looking for an enormous meal for about 6000, go to a ¿µ¾ç µ¹¼Ú¹ä place. Many of these exist down town, rather than recomend one I suggest memorizing those characters and finding your own. For this meal, rice is cooked in a stone bowl with any combination of vegitables in it. You then scoop out the rice into a tin bowl and then you pour water in the stone bowl. The stone bowl should be hot so after your meal you have a type of tea that you can have as an apetief. Most of the time this meal comes with 10-15 side dishes.
For Samgyupsal I think the best place is ÇÏ·ç¹æ in Pyeongeo dong and in Ho tang dong. Extremely tender meat is grilled on a basalt grill. Good stuff.
I'm not generally a fan of Galbi, I think it is okay, a nice cheap place is across from city hall, a portion is 3500, most of the time it is 6000 per portion.
Jinju it's self is famous for two foods, cold noodle soup and, raw beef bibimbab. Raw beef bibimbab is called "Yuke Hwe bibimbab" If you go to the outdoor market downtown there are two places that serve that, one is ÁµÀÏ ½Ä´ç that is inside the market building, and the other one is a secret.
The cold noodles, ³Ã¸é nang myun is a common Korean meal, Jinju has its own style "Jinju Nang Myun" You can find that at "The Jinju Nang Myun restaurant, ÁøÁÖ ³Ã¸é.
There are dozens of other great places to eat as well but I don't want to give away all of the places I know.

Mubanna Chundak If you have ever had bad food that you just need to get the taste out of then this is the place to go. They offer a very spicy Chicken and I mean Cajun hot chicken for $3,900 won. This is a change of pace from the usual kimbap stands. How to get there is go to Jinju National University walk between the 7-11 and GS Mart convenience store and turn right at Mr. Song's there is a cartoon version of a chickens head on it with stylized Korean writing on it but you can see the English sign by the cash register in front of the window.
